MTV a anunțat cel mai recent sezon al emisiunii The Challenge: Spies, Lies and Allies, care va avea premiera internațională pe 11 August, iar în România va fi difuzat pe 18 august, de la ora 22.00. Pentru prima dată, reality show-ul apreciat de critici va prezenta 17 protagoniști internaționali, alături de participanți din SUA, și va fi lansat la nivel global în rețelele internaționale MTV din peste 190 de țări în următoarele luni. Emisiunea continuă să aducă un rating puternic pentru MTV. Media ultimului sezon, Double Agents, a fost de .94, transformându-l într-una dintre cele mai bine cotate ediții din ultimii 8 ani. Reprezentanții României în cadrul The Challenge sunt Emanuel Neagu și artista Emy Alupei, concurenți ai reality-show-ului Survivor România.
MTV dă startul unui nou sezon The Challenge, cu 19 episoade pline de acțiune și cu 34 de participanți din întreaga lume. Desfășurată pe coasta mediteraneană a Croației, acțiunea are în plin plan un grup de agenții americani de elită , care își unesc forțele cu omologii lor internaționali, toți înarmați cu spirit competitiv. Cu o misiune în continuă schimbare, acești agenți vor fi testați atât mental, cât și fizic, pentru marele premiul de un milion de dolari, în acest nou capitol epic al The Challenge.
Simultan cu Spies, Lies and Allies, Podcastul Oficial al MTV Challenge va debuta cu noul său sezon joi, 12 august, prin intermediul rețelei iHeartPodcast. Găzduit de Tori Deal și Aneesa Ferreira, emisiunea audio va recapitula fiecare episod din sezonul actual, retrăind drama celor mai mari alianțe, prietenii, și conflicte. Noile episoade de podcast-uri vor fi lansate în ziua următore difuzării podcastului și vor fi disponibile în aplicația iHeartRadio.
